Super Single

I’m 28, single with no children, educated, and employed, I got it going on. As a woman, I am noticing the older I am getting the more questions regarding my singleness arises. People love to ask why are you single, and when are you getting married, why are you single; so annoying (inserts rolls eyes). I noticed that my male friends don’t get the same questions. Could this be a double standard? Of course it is! I’ve never heard a guy being told that someone was wrong with him or question his sexuality because he’s 30 and single.

Singleness is a gift. 1 Corinthians 7:7 says, ”¬†God gives the gift of the single life to some, the gift of the married life to others.” You see there’s nothing wrong with being single. I’m enjoying this season of life, yes I want to be married and have children; I just want the man that is perfect for me. I am not in a rush, because I want my marriage to last a lifetime.

Have fun, enjoy life, and don’t hate on others.
